Join Pierre T. Lambert for this small group (max 10) street photography workshop in New York City on MAY 3RD 2025.
This 1-day workshop will go from 8:00am-5:30pm and cover the intricacies of capturing the essence of everyday life, honing your skills in composition, using available light, storytelling, and the art of capturing candid moments.
Schedule:
- Morning (8am to 12): On the field photography mentoring. We will walk and shoot for ~4 hours in the morning. I pause to explain concepts and we practice them together. You can get all the help you need right from the field.
- Lunch break: Fun moment to exchange together around a good meal and get some energy for the rest of the day.
- Afternoon (~1pm to 5:30pm): Post processing of images, review of images and portfolio, Q&A to tailor the workshop to your needs.

- How to work with light and compositions to make strong images
- How to identify a story and its subject in a frame
- Help with understanding light and how it can impact on the mood of the image
- How to optimize your camera on the field: demystifying the often overwhelming array of camera settings (focus, exposure, histogram, lenses, filters)
- Dedicated time to slow down and think more carefully about taking fewer but better images
- How to visualise and create an image from idea to reality.
- How to effectively get the most out of your image in post processing with Lightroom
- Q&A
Gear to bring:
Recommend but not required gear to bring in order to get the most out of the workshop:
- DSLR/Mirrorless Camera body with at least one lens
- Pen and notebook for notes taking (if you like to do so)
- Laptop, phone or tablet to edit
- Hard drive or USB Thumb drive with a selection of your favorite images
